Every year the whole village, friends and visitors get together to enjoy food, drink, local crafts, catch up with what’s happening in and around Wivelsfield, be entertained and generally have some fun.
The event seems to grow every year and is now really more of a Village Weekend than a Village Day with events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
This year’s theme is “Heroes” and we are asking for as many people as possible to dress up for the parade. Read more…

Run up to Village Day
Monday 1st July – Scarecrow Trail begins
Following last year’s successful ‘Luck of the Draw’ Treasure Hunt around the village, we are this year planning a Scarecrow Trail around Wivelsfield in the lead up to Village Day. Read more…
Friday 11th July – Friday Night Fun
From 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Wivelsfield Village Green, there will be a disco for under 11’s kindly sponsored by TW Plummer & Son Ltd UK & European Haulage.
Saturday 12th – Village Day
As usual there will be a wide range of attractions including Harris’s fun fair, bouncy castles, slides and inflatables, trade stalls, food and drink, displays by local clubs and companies and games and competitions for everyone. Take a look at the timetable on the left and pick up a programme from the shop or pub for full details.
At 10:30am all are welcome for coffee & croissants and a service will be led by Christopher Breeds at 11:15am in the Village Hall.

In the afternoon at 2:00pm there will be a cricket match between the Wivelsfield Cricket Club and The Cock Inn. The Cock Inn currently lead 3-1 in the series of matches between the two sides.
This will be a fabulous weekend for the whole family.
